Gael: The Callaghan Mafia Book 3 Page 13

With every stroke of my dick inside her, I felt my walls crumbling.

“I love you. I love you so much, Colleen.”

Tears leaked from her eyes. “Oh, Gael. You’re perfect for me.”

My hips stuttered. My movements grew ragged. I felt my balls pull up into my body as I collapsed on top of her. Our sweat intermingled as I grunted and groaned. My cock thickened. Pulsed. Pulling her over the edge with me one last time. She arched her back. I pressed my face into the crook of her neck. Her pussy clamped down around my dick and I felt myself explode. Thread after thread of sweet release, marking her walls. Until her pussy pulsed so hard, she pushed me out.

  “Holy hell,” I groaned.

  “Oh,” she whispered.

I kissed her neck. She trembled as I slid off to the side. I pulled her close to me, quickly gathering up the blankets so we could get warm. I kissed her shoulder. I let my arm drape around her waist. And as her quivering body wiggled its way back into me, my lips found the shell of her ear.

“No matter what, Colleen, I will do right by you. You have my word.”

And the little butt wiggle she gave me made me smile—genuinely smile—for the first time since I was a teenager.

  Colleen - Ten Days Later

Time passed by quicker than I figured it would. One minute, Gael and I were freshly married. And the next minute, we were packing for Mexico. He had done such a marvelous job making preparations. Breaking the news to his brothers. But with that news came a bombardment of the other girls at the brownstone.

All of them, attempting to convince us to stay.

“Please, Colleen. We’re just barely getting to know you,” Abby said.

“And our wedding’s coming up soon. Declan’s going to be heartbroken that you guys won’t be there,” Ciara said.

“You guys, we’ll come back for the wedding. Or video in, like Flynn probably will. But this is what’s good for us right now,” I said.

Abby placed her hand on her stomach. “The baby’s going to be here in a few months. Are you really going to miss the birth?”

I sighed. “I know you guys don’t understand—”

Ciara stepped forward. “You’re part of this family now. It is not enough that we had to miss your wedding.”

I snickered. “I explained why to you guys. Are you really going to hold that over my head? Because I’m not sure that’s what families do.”

Abby stepped up, too. “She’s right. It’s not. But there’s so much still going on. Why can’t you just take a vacation there?”

Ciara nodded. “Or a long honeymoon? Like, month-long? You know, really get away from here for a while?”

Abby shrugged. “Then purchase your own place.”

Ciara piped up. “Or build it! Like you guys are wanting to do in Mexico.”

I put my hands on their shoulders. “I’m going to miss you guys, too.”

Ciara shook her head. “Look, as the longest-attending member of this family—”

Abby rolled her eyes. “By a few weeks, sure.”

I giggled. “You two are relentless, you know that?”

Ciara sighed. “And for good reason. No one’s figured out what happened to Richard yet. The family needs to be together during this time. These boys? They’re unstoppable together. But they have to be together to make that happen.”

I nodded. “Well, get Flynn over here and I’d think about it. But with Flynn still back in Ireland, your explanation still doesn’t make sense.”

Abby scoffed. “So, your plan is to just rip us further apart?”

I slid my hands off their shoulders. “No, my plan is to be happy with my husband. Just like you guys are.”

Ciara threw her hands in the air. “Then why does that require running away?”

I rolled my eyes. “We aren’t running away. I was running away in the beginning, yes. But both of us want out of this. We don’t want any part of this. I’ve never seen Gael so happy than he’s been these past few days.”

Abby waved her hand at me. “Post-marital bliss. It’ll fade as time goes on.”

  My face fell. “Thanks.”

Ciara took my hands. “And then, once it does, you're going to want to be around family in order to help you get through it.”

I yanked my hands away. “We’ve made our decision and it’s final. If you can’t accept that? Then it’s a personal problem.”

I knew I was being harsh with them. But it was what it was. Gael did his brothers a favor in telling them our plans. I owed these girls nothing, though. I hardly knew them, and for the past few days, they’d done nothing but pester me. Distract me. Ask me asinine questions about things they already knew.

I sighed. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to finish packing us up.”

Abby clicked her tongue. “What if it’s not enough for Gael?”

I paused. “If what isn’t enough?”

Ciara cleared her throat. “Does this lifestyle get overwhelming? Yes, it really does. There are nights where Declan gets no sleep. He just stays up, lying there next to me, and he’s exhausted the next morning. It really takes a toll.”

I nodded. “Then you know why we’re leaving.”

Abby butted in. “However, we also know that without this lifestyle, the boys have no purpose.”

Ciara licked her lips. “It’s true. This is the life they were born into. It’s what they know. And if Gael isn’t happy with his position in the family, I’m sure he can talk to Declan about that and find something else to do.”

“It’s bad enough on Brody that Flynn’s still in Ireland trying to hold things down there.”

“It’s going to practically kill these boys to have Gael in Mexico.”

I shrugged. “Well, sometimes it isn’t about extended family. Sometimes, it just has to be about us. This is what makes us happy. And while I’d love your support in the matter, I barely know you two. So, I don’t need it.”

Ciara scoffed. “And you’ll never know us if you leave.”

I turned my back to them. “Which, right now, I’m regarding as a blessing.”

My words silenced them. Good. I wanted them to shut up. I wanted them to leave me alone so I could get back to packing us up. I was almost finished, too. All I had were a few more clothing items Declan didn’t want to leave behind. The rest would be auctioned off and used to help cushion us for a while until our house in Pampa Honda was finished being built. Overlooking the ocean. So we could sit on our back porch, sip cocktails, and watch the sun set behind the water for the rest of our lives.

It brought tears to my eyes thinking about it.

“It’s going to make us look weak,” Ciara said.

Abby hissed. “You know she doesn't care.”

“Well, she needs to if she’s really going to be part of this family.”

I slowly turned around. “What did you just say to me?”

Ciara held her head high. “With Flynn in Ireland and Gael leaving, it’s going to give the Callaghans a weak front for the other families. They’ll see us severing. Going our different directions. And you know your father will prey on that.”

Abby sighed. “The Dalys, too, you know.”

Ciara nodded. “Yep. Exactly. My father and yours will come for this family. They will come for Declan and Brody. Flynn will be helpless to stop it, and you two will be too busy fucking on some beach somewhere and enjoying your mai tais.”

  Abby gasped. “Ciara!”

“Well, it’s true! I mean look at them. Look at this brownstone. They don’t want shit to do with this family!”

I drew in a deep breath. “It’s not the family we don’t want shit to do with. It’s the shit this family constantly gets itself into.”

  Ciara blinked. “What?”

I snickered. “Do you even care what this does to Gael? Or Declan? Or anyone, for that matter?”

“Don’t you talk about my fiancé that way. I will always care about what happens to him!” />
“So long as it benefits the family. But if he approached you right now, this second, and told you that he wanted to go to Mexico with me and Gael, would you be on board?”

“He wouldn’t do that. And neither would Brody.”

I shrugged. “You don’t know that. I didn’t even know Gael would go along with the plan until he said ‘yes.’ So, is it really Declan’s happiness you’re concerned about? Or is it something else and you’re just using his happiness as a cover?”

She charged me, her fists balled up. “Why don’t you say that closer to my face?”

Abby grabbed her. “Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Why is the pregnant girl breaking up a fight here?”

I looked down my nose at her. “You can hold your head high however much you want. You can spew whatever you think might get people to see things your way. But you better be ready to accept when things don’t go your way. Otherwise, I see you turning out to be more like Fiona than anything else.”

  Abby murmured. “Oh, boy.”

Ciara’s nostrils flared. “Come on. We’re getting out of here.”

I nodded. “You should have a while ago. I’m glad you finally caught on.”

Ciara wrenched away from Abby’s grip and they stormed down the stairs. I heard the door slam shut and I jumped. But I didn’t let it sway me. On top of all the packing, I had to go see the Fitzpatrick sisters. Gael wanted to use our eventual honeymoon as our cover to get out of here. Which was brilliant. With people thinking we were taking a long and decent honeymoon, we could stay gone long enough for us to fall off people’s radars. I wasn’t sure how the bank accounts and things would work. It was Gael’s responsibility to take care of that kind of stuff. If there was anyone who could help him cover a trail, it was Declan and Brody.

I just hoped they were trying to thwart us like their women were.

I looked over at the clock on the wall. The girls had made me late. I rushed upstairs and quickly changed my clothes into something a bit more appealing. Gael was making last-minute plans for when we landed in Mexico. But I was in charge of getting our honeymoon situated. Six weeks in Cabo San Lucas. Where we’d decide that, since we were having such a good time, we’d elongate our stay. That would cut the Fitzpatrick sisters out of the deal with the excuse that Declan would simply book the flight once we were ready to return.

Then, once our house was built, we’d take a boat from Cabo San Lucas all the way up to the back porch of our new home. Where, apparently, new identities and a new life would be waiting for us.

God, I hope we can pull this off.

I gathered up my things and rushed down the stairs. I had an appointment with the Fitzpatrick sisters in ten minutes. And it would easily take me that kind of time to cross town, much less get to where they were. I rushed out the door and made my way for the car. I slipped inside and smiled at the driver as he cranked up the engine.

“Ready for your appointment?” he asked.

I wanted to tell him so badly what was going on. I hoped and prayed the brothers had plans for our driver. Because he had been fantastic this entire time.

“Yes, I am. Get me there as quickly as you can, though. I hate to admit when I’m running a little behind.”

He chuckled. “I’ve already got a faster way in mind. Make sure you buckle up, Mrs. Callaghan.”

My heart skipped a beat. Mrs. Gael Callaghan. I loved the name. Every syllable of it. I buckled myself in as the driver pulled away from the brownstone, and I wondered what it would feel like when we pulled away for the last time. A smile spread across my face. Joy filled my gut. Getting out of Chicago for the last time would feel like a fucking dream. I’d leave this bullshit city and all of its darkness behind me. I’d start my new life with my new husband in a new country with new names, and everything would be fresh. Good. Positive. Enlightening.

I could barely keep a lid on my excitement.

I reached for the handle above my head as the driver took sharp turns around corners. He blazed through yellow lights as I laughed and smiled. In another lifetime, he could’ve been a damn racer! I clutched my purse and tightened my grip. I kept an eye on my watch as the minutes counted down.

  Four more minutes.

  Three more minutes.

  Two more minutes.

“And, we’re here,” the driver said.

I unbuckled myself and leaned up. I pressed a soft kiss to his temple. He chuckled before he patted my hand with his own, then unlocked the car doors.

“I’ll be out here once you’re done. And remember what I said.”

I nodded. “Make sure to book a scuba trip. Got it.”

He smiled. “My wife loved it when we went scuba diving off the coast of California. I can only imagine what it’ll be like in Mexico.”

“And we’ll do it in her memory. I promise.”

  “I appreciate that. Thank you.”

I slipped out of the car and stood in front of the travel agency. It had the Fitzpatrick name emblazoned across it. The biggest thing on the damn sigh. Even bigger than “travel agency,” which I figured was much more important. I shook my head as I walked inside. I couldn’t wait to get away from all the ego-stroking, too. Such nonsense, that kind of stuff. It really wasn’t necessary.

Then, I reached for the door handle and started inside to meet the three sisters.

  Alana, Tara, and Molly Fitzpatrick.

  The honeymoon extraordinaires.

  Gael

“How are you feeling about tonight, handsome?”

I grinned at Colleen’s half-naked reflection in the mirror. My eyes ran over her soft curves. My fingers tingled with the need to touch her. I watched her slip her earrings into her ears. They sparkled with the glow of the light that ignited our bedroom. She looked ravishing, standing there in her panties. In her strapless bra. With her tits almost spilling out for the taking.

  “Gael?” she asked.

I turned around, fiddling with my tie. “I’m still upset with my mother for what she did.”

“Do you think you can keep a lid on things for a farewell dinner?”

I shrugged. “If she doesn't pull anything stupid.”

  “Gael.”

“Don’t tell me you don’t feel the same way. I’ve told you the stories. What she attempted to do with Ciara. How she’s already alienated the girl carrying her only grandchild. What do you think of the whole situation?”

She sighed. “I don’t know. I guess I’m a hopeless romantic at heart. But is it really that bad if she’s in love with Martin?”

“Wanting to move in with him less than a month after her husband’s murder? That has yet to be solved?”

She paused. “You make a good point.”

I walked over to her. “You’re a good woman for wanting to take up for her. But she tried to manipulate you. And eventually, she’ll have to answer to me for that.”

“I think you’re a bit more than ‘angry’ with her, Gael.”

I nodded. “I suppose ‘furious’ might begin to touch the mark.”

Her hands fell against my chest. “Take some deep breaths, okay? This is the last time we’ll see your family for a while. At least, until we get settled into our new home. Let’s have a good send-off, yes? Not a dramatic one.”

I grinned. “Whatever you wish, my love.”

She blushed. “I’ll never get tired of you calling me that.”

I wrapped my arm around her. “Good. Because I don’t intend to change it.”

I captured her lips with my own and her arms slid around my neck. I held her close to me, almost picking her up off her feet. Our tongues fell together and all plans of this dinner fell to the back of my mind. I wanted to drag her to bed, make love to her, and fall asleep to the sounds of her soft panting while she shivered against me.

Pressing that cute little ass of hers against my groin.

“I know what you’re thinking, handsome, and the answer is ‘no.’ We have to go to this dinner. Declan was
insistent on it.”

  I sighed. “Dessert, then.”

She smiled. “You know it’s my favorite part of every meal.”

I growled and captured her lips one last time. I felt her roll against me, and I knew I had to stop. Because if I didn’t quit kissing her, we wouldn’t even make it to our flight. I’d tie her to this bed and make her my beautiful sex toy for the next few days.

“Cabo, here we come,” I murmured.

She smiled. “Let me get into my dress and redo my lipstick, then I’ll be ready.”

I kissed the tip of her nose. “I’ll go wait for you by the door.”

Reluctantly, I left her in the bedroom to get into her dress for the evening. I walked downstairs and plucked her coat from the rack before I headed down toward the front door. San Lucas would feel amazing after experiencing these temperature dips Chicago had to offer. I was ready for the sun. The sand. To see my beautiful bride in the skimpiest of bikinis before I took her in the middle of the ocean. Just floating around as the waves passed us by, with my cock filling her gorgeous body.

“All right. I’ve got my things,” she said.

I looked up toward the top of the stairs and my breath caught in my throat. Colleen was a fucking vision. An angel in black as her hips sashayed down the stairs. Her heels clicked. Her crimson mouth grinned at me. Those earrings of hers sparkled and her hair flowed beautifully down past her shoulders. She looked ravishing. She twinkled with every step. And as my mouth watered for her, I forced myself to hold out her coat.

  “You look incredible,” I said.

She giggled. “I couldn't keep my eyes off you in the bedroom, either.”

I chuckled. “Let’s get this dinner over with. I’m ready for it to just be us for a while.”

She poked my nose softly. “Me too, handsome. Me, too.”

We headed for the family brownstone in the car. Even though we could have technically walked, I wasn’t forcing Colleen to walk three blocks in the sky-high stilettos she had on. Nor was I going to force us to walk in forty-degree weather with the crisp wind that kept blowing around. It was much too cold to even think about doing something like that.
